Blackout is a polyester fabric with a dense layered twill weave,
the middle black layer of the blackout fabric limits the entry of sunlight into the interior.
On a slightly larger scale than at home, blackout curtains are used to darken rooms such as conference and lecture halls, where information is often presented using a projector. Blackout curtain materials are also used in hotel rooms, where they help guests acclimate and get a good rest after a tiring journey.
